Workshop within WP4

The success of human societies has been attributed to their wise use of natural resources and their ability to adapt to changes in the environment. Societies may succeed or fail depending on how their natural resources are managed. For the Fagaceae, we describe here the need for new genetic and genomic resource information and its potential application for ecosystem conservation, improvement of breeding populations, and the use of resources for ecosystem and social services.
