Workshop within WP4

The goal of the workshop was the development of a concept of database interoperability between Europe and North America. Experts from various fields of biological database construction and integration were invited to discuss obstacles and possibilities that large scale biological data integration will face in future, and to exemplify the various problems arising in different fields of biological data integration. In the frame of the workshop, a gap analysis was done to identify areas that still need attention in technical, organizational, or legal issues.
